That's not how a noble daughter of a drow house thinks. The way she thinks is: I want that, it should be served to me at a snap of my fingers. I am always right. The strong can do whatever with the weak. Killing is not a crime for a drow. So if she does not have a place to live, she'd take a farm that lays off the main road for hers for a time (farms are relatively far away from one another, so the neighbors won't know what's wrong for a week or two or even more). Or if she needs to gain Shar's favor, she'd slaughter them all.
As for Shar, I don't remeber off hand if sacrifices are required, but they are accepted. What I remeber from the times of writing Coran-Viconia's banters (a few years back) is that they are required to commit some evil deed every full moon or something like that. Or at least were under the second edition. They definetly hunt and kill off Selunites even under the 3+ editions. At any rate, Shar is a major evil goddess, so Viconia's "change" from Lolth to Shar in BG1 was not all that significant. She is a goddess of thieves, and goblins and the likes.
Of course, the third edition goes into the nonsense about neutral and *good* worshippers of Shar's "forgetfulness" aspect. Pheh.
